Robert Perrish is an award-winning designer, sculptor and painter whose love of nature is evident in everything he creates. This was first expressed through wildlife painting and sculpture as it has evolved over the past 25 years and he has spent the last five years painting representational landscapes, with an emphasis on capturing the views of Michigan through his eyes, as well as painting on location in western states and Alaska.
His approach now is more impressionistic, and h e prefers to paint with oils, because of their earthiness and natural character.
Currently Bob is working on paintings and sculptures for a 3 - Man - Show for this fall that has the beautiful Island of Grosse Isle for subject matter. What is also unique about the show is that the other 2 artists are his brothers, Don and Bill Perrish. Bob has taken on the position of Chairman of the Livonia Arts Committee this year. He has also been involved with a group of other artists that paint every weekend outdoors and founded the resulting organization 'Michigan Plein Air Painters', who will be having a show this coming May at Kensington Metro Park.
